Neil R. Nebeker, OD, FAAO
Dr. Nebeker received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 from Weber State College, Ogden, Utah and his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1979. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1981.
Dr. Nebeker has been the sole proprietor of the Merced, CA optometric office since 1985 and then opened the Mariposa, CA office in 1987. He offers full optometric services and has a special interest in general optometry, contact lenses, low vision, vision training, refractive surgery management and ocular pathology.
He received the Optometric Recognition Award of the AOA in 1984. He has been listed in 'Who's Who in California', 1990, 1995, 1998, and 2002 editions. He has served as a member of the board of directors for theQuality Eyecare Alliance-Fresno, CA, 1994 to 1996. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
He has served as Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, Varsity Scout Coach, Explorer Advisor, Advancement Chairman, and a Unit Commissioner. He has also served as a member of the Merced College Medical Assistant Program Advisory Board. He has sponsored over twelve Merced Youth Baseball and Youth Soccer teams, and is active in his church leadership. Dr. Nebeker enjoys traveling and his family.
